Another exciting weekend for everyone, except Labor members and their supporters. Prime Minister Gillard made yet more "judgement" calls in an effort to show off her leadership skills. This coming the day after Labor took another flogging in Queensland. It has been suggested that her move today was calculated to deflect media attention away from the latest defeat, and if it's true, then it was a brilliant move, with Gillard, Thomson and Slipper dominating the news yesterday. And, probably, for the whole week ahead, as we get any number of theories and amount of conjecture on just who has really been crossing the lines. Mrs Circusmouse and I rolled around the floor clutching our sides we were laughing so much when Gillard used "crossed the line" in her speech. Do you think she started it back in 2010?
Tony Abbott's best friend at the moment is the ALP as they do whatever they can to make him look good. A few years ago, you would have thought that that would have been an impossible task, but no, they're giving it a damn good go.
Next up, the Budget. Good luck, Wayne, you're going to need it.
