The Cairns Post, in it's weekend edition, got the local "new media" in a tizz with it's latest "scoop". The Post blew it's annual research budget on a feng shui master telling us what we already know - Mayor Schier has a communication problem. The blog "intelligentsia" came out en masse in disgust at the level the newspaper has fallen to, and yet, can't seem to come up with a viable alternative of their own.

The poor old Post is having a bit of a torrid time of late, what with a whole forest of "non-news", "news" poached from dubious sources, and more recently, a very badly researched story which annoyed Channel 7 so much, they got Scott "Squint" Forbes to do a rebuttal piece on the local news programme.
