Circusmouse: Me & My Shadow

After a day when Qantas did the Prime Minister a favour by axing 500 jobs and distracting everyone from the Labor Party's leadership tensions, it's all back on. Even the ABC's News 24 dragged out political dinosaurs Amanda Vanstone and Cheryl Kernot this morning to add their jibber jabber to the debate. Both agreed it's media driven, and then talked over each other on everything else. Talk about tension. Some unresolved issues there.

The Queensland State Election's campaign officially starts this Sunday. It promises to be a hoot, especially if Premier Bligh's "passion" gets the better of her again, which is more than likely. It was the excuse she used this week after her outburst on the possibility of Campbell Newman going to gaol in relation to members of his wife's family being investigated for some dodgy business by the FBI. Whatever happens it won't be boring.

Just watched the news on Channel 7 (where do they get their information?) and apparently, QLD Premier Bligh is already claiming underdog status in the upcoming state election. C'mon Anna, you're the incumbent, with all the power of government (no matter how inept) behind you. Stop playing us for fools and get on with persuading Queenslanders, despite years of inertia, why you deserve to still be the one who leads this state.

What a day! Brilliant! Is it for real? Has the Prime Minister's office done it again? From the gossip shows this morning to the evening news, the response, from the media, has been relentless and just in case you haven't seen it (maybe because you had better things to do), check it out here-

Now we have a whole week of more of the same while we wait for Rudd to come home. In case you missed that, too, he flew out to Mexico today and won't be back until next weekend.
