Well, we knew they would find a use for the NBN eventually. Poor ol' Ruddie just can't get a break these days. On top of all the leadership speculation, (about which Gillard, quite rightly, gave the media a bit of a serve earlier in the week), our Foreign Minister is gradually getting shunted down to the uncool end of the Cabinet table. He will be sitting next to Peter Garrett soon, and won't that be a laugh. Not.

Closer to home, and things are getting desperate for Queensland Premier Anna Bligh. In fact there was such a lot of material for cartoons coming out of her office this week, I was spoiled for choice. My favourite would have been her back flip on what is called "pay-per-view". If I've got time, I'll knock it out and put it here. I never thought I'd say this, but the idea was influenced by Linda Evangelista.
